Tulsi: uplifts the mood and energy and supports the immune system.
BItter melon: helpful for stomach pain accompanied by constipation; can be useful for gastric ulcers. Do not take with diabetes medications; stop use if you feel bloated or experience diarrhea.
Boneset: strong antiviral immune herb, great for fevers. It is for acute illness, and should only be used for 7 days in a row. Not safe in pregnancy or nursing.
Anise Hyssop: is uplifting, and especially great for grief and heartbreak.
Cinnamon: a great addition to herbal blends that help with digestive issues and feelings of low energy; cinnamon carries the energy / feeling of home and warmth.
Comfrey: helpful as a compress, poultice or salve in healing minor skin injuries (cuts, scrapes, bites); external use ONLY.
Marshmallow Root: soothes irritated tissue and reduces swelling in various parts of the body: bowels, throat, kidneys. Great for dry coughs.
Motherwort: soothes the nervous system, helps holds your heart during times of heavy grief / loneliness / over-worry / agitation. May also provide relief for menstrual cramps. *Not safe during pregnancy, or menstruation with very heavy bleeding.
Lavender: popular nervine (type of herb) that is used to assist with calming anxiety, restlessness, headaches, and encouraging sleep.
Linden: soothing and relaxing; also reduces blood pressure.
Spearmint: relaxing; helps support the body in healing through common cold symptoms and upset stomach.
Peppermint: aromatic herb that is helpful for calming stomach issues (gas, upset stomach) and soothing the nervous system
Skullcap: relaxes nerves, and can be soothing to headaches brought on by stress. Helpful for folks who are easily overstimulated by sound, light, touch, etc.
Lemon Balm: Uplifting and calming; helpful for folks whose stress shows up as stomach or heart aches.
Licorice Root: anti-inflammatory herb, great for gastro-intestinal discomfort. Not safe in pregnancy, and large doses should not be taken over long periods of time. (one 6" stick)
Mullein: nutritive herb for dry lungs.
Mugwort: helps tone the digestive tract, and soothes gas, bloating, diarrhea and stomachache. when burned as incense, mugwort is a great alternative to sage for clearing / cleansing energetic space.
Goldenrod: can he helpful in easing irritation from upper-respiratory infections; energetically, is a helpful reminder to allow grace to ourselves and others.
Valerian: strong smelling and potent herb, that is most widely used to treat symptoms of insomnia (trouble falling asleep and/or staying asleep). Not to be used with other sedating medication or benzodiazepines.
Yarrow: Helpful anti-inflammatory herb; supports the immune system in fighting infection, but should not be taken regularly.
Reishi mushroom: supports adrenal function and immune system.
